Overview

Following the introduction of the redesigned C-class sedan, Mercedes-Benz is expected to perform a similar makeover on the 2022 GLC-class SUV. Mechanically similar to the sedan, the 2022 GLC will likely share the C-class’s standard 255-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, 48-volt hybrid system, and nine-speed automatic transmission. We are also hoping to see the same tech upgrades as the C-class here, including the large, vertically-oriented touchscreen infotainment display, advanced driver-assistance features, and biometric authentication system that unlocks a driver’s saved settings and preferences. Mercedes-Benz has so far released just one teaser photo of the new SUV, but we expect to learn more soon including details about luxury and convenience features and high-performance AMG variants.

What’s New for 2022?

The redesigned 2022 GLC-class is expected to be revealed by the end of 2021 with the new SUV going on sale in early 2022.
